MPI's premium Level 8 PDS solution is a vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-person (if using PPS systems) and vehicle-to-object (if radar installed) awareness system suitable for vehicles operating on surface mines.
The system significantly improves awareness of traffic and imminent dangers. The Level 8 system provides visual alerts and audible alarms when customizable parameters are breached, via a visual display unit and handset for driver interaction with the system. It also provides advisory controls to the driver to slow down or stop the vehicle when necessary.
This flexible solution's capabilities can be enhanced by adding RTD modules to improve close interaction accuracy in under-roof environments. Our premium Level 8 system is also upgradable to the advanced Level 9 system, subject to add-on modules and firmware updrades.
